Oxford Research Criteria for Post Infectious Fatigue Syndrome (PIFS)

Is fatigue with a definite onset the patient's main complaint?

Is the fatigue severe and disabling, affecting both physical and mental functioning?

Are other symptoms such as myalgias, mood disturbances and sleep disturbances present?

Can the fatigue be explained by a chronic medical condition?

Can the symptoms be explained by schizophrenia, manic depressive illness, substance abuse, eating disorder or proven organic brain syndrome?

Is there definite evidence of patient having an infection at the onset of the fatigue?

Is there laboratory evidence that corroborates the infection?

Number of months after onset of the infection that the patient has been fatigued

Percent of the time that fatigue has been present (enter from 0 to 100)
