Clinical Criteria for Hypoxic Liver Injury

Did the patient have an episode of shock or hepatic hypoperfusion?

Did the patient have a sudden and marked risk in AST, ALT and LDH?

Did the patient survive?

Did the liver enzymes rapidly return to normal once the inciting cause was corrected?

Was a liver biopsy performed?

Did the biopsy show centrilobular necrosis?

Have other causes of liver disease (drug or viral hepatitis, pancreatic or biliary disease, trauma) been excluded?
